Mission Statement
Blue Eagle was created to serve the investigative needs of the Insurance Community, Self-Insured Industry, Third-Party Administrators, and their Legal Counsel throughout the United States. Our goal is to customize our services and vast resources to our customers needs in order to provide our clients honest, professional, and cost effective investigative services, including surveillance.
Blue Eagle Investigations, Inc. was founded in 1994 by Stu Macfarlane. The Blue Eagle name comes from the U.S. Air Force F-15 “Eagle” fighter jet. Stu’s father, Willard R. ‘Mac’ Macfarlane, was a highly decorated military fighter pilot; many say he was the best pilot there ever was. He set three world time-to-climb records, one of which was 12,000 meters in 59.38 seconds. His favorite jet was the F-15 and it’s natural color is blue, hence the name “Blue Eagle.”
Willard R. ‘Mac’ Macfarlane’s Achievments:
Set three Time to Climb world records in the F-15 “Streak Eagle” fighter jet.
Awarded the Mackay Trophy for “Most Meritorious Flight.” (displayed at the Smithsonian)
Commanded our military’s largest Wing/Air base
Inducted into the Utah Aviation Hall of Fame
Four consecutive Top Gun Honors (yes, this Air Force pilot got a special invitation to train – and consistantly best – the Navy pilots!)
